SOCIAL NIGHT (Pt.2)

***
By the middle of first term, the SS2 girls had begun to question Senior Douglas’ sexuality.
“Maybe he’s gay.” Senior Tife from Blue House said. “He has never dated a single girl since he joined this school.”
“But no boy has ever come out to say he touched him.” Senior Bridget argued.
“Hm. Do you think he’s asexual?”
“Omo, that would be wastage of sexiness.”
I couldn’t help but smile as I overheard their conversation in the common room. It made me feel special. Like... I was the exception.
But the excitement soon wore off when the girls began to laugh about Senior Festus, the omo orobo of their set. They compared him and Senior Douglas, and laughed about how they would rather eat sand than date a fat boy like Festus. They said it was “disgusting”. It triggered me, making me question if Senior Douglas had felt the same way about me at some point, or would feel that way sometime in the future.

The last Social Night of the term was called Mix & Match. We could wear whatever combination of uniform we wanted. So that night, I wore my Blue House jersey with my navy-blue uniform skirt, pulling it higher up my waist to make it shorter.
At dinner that night, two large Fanta bottles were passed around the SS1 tables, and as a fanta girlie, I filled my cup to the brim till I tasted it.
I coughed on the first sip, almost choking.
It was strong and tasted nothing like Fanta.
But, I finished the Fanta regardless. By the time I left the dining hall, the world was slowly spinning around me. It was chaotic, yet exhilarating.
I strutted to the multipurpose hall, unbuttoning all the first four buttons of my jersey to let my cleavage out, tying the middle of my shirt to a knot to make my top crop.
I pulled out the rubber band from my loosened hair and let it fall to my shoulders. I knew all eyes were on me and my now exposed big boobs, but I loved it. The attention. The judgment. The distraction. The temptation. The sultriness of it all.
And in that half drunken moment, I had only longed for one eyes only.
I entered the multipurpose hall just when the Social Prefect DJ began playing old Naija Hip-Hop jams. The ceiling lights were switched off, leaving multicoloured LED lights spinning across the dark room. Bodies grinded around the dark corners of the hall, adding to the steaminess of the atmosphere.
Teaser by M.I Abaga played over the speakers as I walked into the middle of the dance floor, red light flashing around, and bodies dancing and grinding all around me.
I looked to the right and there he was.
Senior Douglas stood near the window with two of his battalions by his sides. He was dressed in a black durag, a borrowed Green House jersey and sagging his camouflages trouser. Something about him wearing a durag did some things to my insides.
He caught my eyes and slowly, yet steadily, brought down the red cup from his mouth as he stared at me through the crowd.
The world stopped spinning as I looked back at him, his presence taking over my five senses again. His eyes trailed down my unbuttoned shirt, his tongue sliding through his lips, making me nearly lose my balance and bump into another SS2 boy grinding his babe.
“Move your fat body from here, jor!” The boy spat out.
Embarrassed, I looked to the ground and ran for a corner to hide. Not just from the snickering students nearby that heard him, but Senior Douglas too.
I grabbed a bottle of water to sober up and buttoned up the last two buttons of my shirt as I sat down at the edge of the two-steps of the hall.
I looked back at Senior Douglas’ side, but the wall was empty. He was gone.
I glanced around the crowded hall, but it was hard to spot him anywhere.
He must have gone off to grind one of the girls in his class.
I opened my novel and crossed my legs in frustration. Lightening flashed outside the window like the feelings surging through me. I was irritated, yet sad. I was jealous, yet embarrassed to believe someone like Senior Douglas would look my way. I was angry with him for confusing me, but somehow angrier with myself for feeling angry.
After a moment, I looked up once more and NEPA took light.
The students exclaimed. Some began shouting like there was trouble. Something mischievous was going on but I could not see through the darkness. The screams were mostly from girls and the laughter were from the boys.
The thunderclaps outside shook me as the increasing rain drops pounded against the roof.
I stood up, in fear that something crazy might happen to me too. But I could not move, unless I wanted to be entangled in the chaos around me.
Suddenly, I felt a hand slip round my waist from behind. My body tensed.
“Follow me.” His whisper felt familiar next to my ear.
I felt myself being pulled out of the hall before I could hesitate.
By the time we reached the last classroom at the end of the corridor, the lights came back on but he swiftly shut the door behind us and locked it.
I was back in the old French classroom. The lights did not work, and the rain intensified outside the windows, breaking into the silence of the room.
I spun to look at him, my heart pounding.
Senior Douglas turned and stood there, his eyes impatient. Being this close to him again made me more nervous than I intended to. Was he here to confuse me more?
“You kept me waiting.” He said. His eyes fell to my open shirt for a second before quickly glancing back up at my face.
“S-Sorry, I didn’t realize you wanted me here when you disappeared.” I stepped back, clashing against the nearest desk behind me.
He smirked, walking closer. “Always an olodo.”
“Please don’t call me that.”
He placed both hands on the desk, one on either side of me, blocking my way.
I swallowed hard.
“Or else what?” He searched through my nervous eyes, “You’ll punish me...” His eyes trailed down my lips down to my neck and stopped at my exposed cleavage, “...Make me kneel down… raise my hand…” his fingers slid up to my inner exposed thighs through my short skirt, “…make me feel you?”
He poked between my legs.
I let out a low gasp and quickly held his wrist.
“I don’t think this is a good idea.” I stopped him. Even though I didn’t want it to stop.
He bit his lips, his eyes finding their way back to mine.
“It was never supposed to be.”
“Why me?” I asked him. “I heard you haven’t dated any girl since you joined this school. So… why did you choose me for your first… project?”
He pushed his head back and squeezed his eyes, “Project?”
“I’m not the kind of girl you go for.”
He straightened and folded his arms. “Okay teacher, tell me. What kind of girls do I go for? Let me learn.”
“Anybody but me.”
He rose a brow. “What’s wrong with you?”
I looked down at myself and pointed to my fleshy body. “All of this. I’m a big girl.”
He stepped closer and placed his hands on the nape of my neck, looking deeply into my eyes. I swallowed hard again. I couldn’t tell if he was annoyed, or simply trying to intimidate me.
“And that’s all I need.”
My shoulders relaxed. But it still didn’t make sense to me. This was literally the baddest boy in school, if possible, the whole of Abuja.
“So… I don’t disgust you?” I asked, remembering Senior Tife’s words about Senior Festus.
He leaned closer and kissed my neck. I inhaled, my skin tingling at the softness of his lips. My God. His tongue swiftly grazed all the way up to my cheekbone, making me shiver and… hungry.
His lips found its way to my ear and he whispered, “Does that taste like disgust to you?”
I looked at him, the tenderness yet fierceness in his eyes. I looked away from him, too shy to look any longer. God, please save me. I was about to lose my mind.
Senior Douglas stepped back.
“Can-Can you show me more?” I asked before he could walk away.
He didn’t move or say anything.
Hesitantly, I looked back at him.
He stood there, smiling at me. He smiled. At me.
Flustered, I asked. “Wha-what?”
“I like it. When you tell me what to do.”
“Juniors don’t tell seniors what to do.”
He held my chin up. “It will be our little secret.”
Damn, this boy would truly be the death of me. I only cleared my throat in answer.
“So, what would it be?” He stared deeply at me, curious.
I stared back dazedly. At those dangerous eyes. The ones that had haunted me for weeks. The ones that made me cry. The ones that made me shiver. The ones that made me... wetter. And all I wanted was one thing.
“Don’t stop.” I answered.
“Stop... what?”
I leaned closer to him, our faces an inch apart.
“I want to be... uncomfortable. Tonight. Make me... very uncomfortable.” I whispered.
He smirked.
The corridor lights went out in an instant, NEPA taking lights once again, the darkness looming around us. All that was left were the faint sound of rain drops, the quiet tension that hung around him and I, the heavy drumming of my beating heart and the hidden hunger in his dark eyes I could not see.
By the time Senior Douglas got to his knees and pulled off my underwear, the only thing I knew I was losing tonight... was my sanity.
